Boy Riding Bike Critically Injured in Kensington Crash: NYPD

The 12-year-old was hit by an SUV at the intersection of Cortelyou Road and Dahill Road, according to police.

KENSINGTON, BROOKLYN — A 12-year-old boy was hit by a car and critically injured early Wednesday morning, police said.

The boy was riding his bike on Cortelyou Road shortly before 7 a.m. when he was hit by a Lexus SUV at the intersection of Cortelyou and Dahill Road, according to the NYPD.

The boy sustained severe head trauma, and was transported to Maimonides Medical Center in critical condition, according to the NYPD.

The 24-year-old driver of the SUV remained on the scene. There were no arrests as of Wednesday morning, and an investigation into the crash was ongoing, police said.
