Enjoy Taiko Drumming, Rides, Games and an Outdoor Street Fair in Kensington This Weekend

Food, games, shopping and the Japanese art of taiko drumming are all coming to the neighborhood.

KENSINGTON, BROOKLYN — Traditional Japanese drumming and a Church Avenue street festival are just two of the ways you can enjoy the outdoors this weekend in Kensington.

First, the Church Avenue Street Fair will bring together local businesses, vendors, amusement rides, games and non-profits.

The event will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Church Avenue between Beverley Road and East 3rd Street.

Mike Hyatt of Meteor Festivals, which is producing the event, says that visitors can expect a wide variety of goods for sale, from food to clothing. Hyatt also said that a small number of spaces are still available for businesses looking to participate. Registration costs $140 for a 10-foot spot.
