Man Steals Charity Collection Jar from Dollar Store

Reports from the 72nd Precinct.

The following information comes from police reports from the 72nd Precinct of the NYPD. It does not indicate a conviction. 

Last week, a man in the 66th Precinct . Now, we've learned that a man in the 72nd Precinct stole a charity collection jar from a dollar store on April 4th. What is the world coming to?

According to police, the perp walked into 99 Cent Rush, located at 260 Prospect Park West, and did a quick survey of the store before grabbing the collection jar—which contained around $150—off the front counter. He took off before the store's clerk could stop him.

Surveillance footage from the scene reveals that the perp is a black man who stands roughly 5-foot-2 and weighs around 140 pounds. He has curly hair, dark skin and was wearing either a leather or suede jacket with fur trim. No arrests have been made.
