Spend Time With Holocaust Survivors in Kensington This September

Selfhelp Community Services is recruiting volunteers to spend time with Holocaust survivors in Kensington. Here's how you can sign up.

KENSINGTON, BROOKLYN — A Brooklyn social service organization is looking for volunteers to spend time with elderly Holocaust survivors.

Selfhelp Community Services runs a Nazi Victim Services program catering to the needs of this unique population, now in their 80s and 90s.

On three upcoming September afternoons, volunteers will be able to spend time with Holocaust survivors, sharing a meal, talking and dancing to music.

According to KarmaBrooklyn, the Sep. 20 event will also feature a lecture by a member of the Israeli consulate.
