2 Mount Vernon Residents Accused Of Stealing Sporting Goods
One of the people was violating a stay away order of protection by being with the other person, police said.

YORKTOWN, NY — Two Mount Vernon residents were accused of stealing from a store ion a Yorktown mall.
The Yorktown Police Department said Dwayne Hudson, 52, and Brandy Boone Hudson, 40, both of Mount Vernon, were charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony.
Additionally, Dwayne Hudson was charged with second-degree criminal contempt, a misdemeanor, and Brandy Boone Hudson was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.

Police said, around 2:30 p.m. Thursday, an officer was sent to Dick’s Sporting Goods for a report of a larceny.
The officer said he found the vehicle the Hudsons were seen getting into and leaving the Jefferson Valley Mall.

He conducted a traffic stop and found that Dwayne Hudson and Brandy Boone Hudson stole $1,401 worth of merchandise from the sporting goods store.
They were arrested and taken to the Yorktown Police Department for processing.
Police said Dwayne Hudson was also violating a stay away temporary order of protection by being with Brandy Boone Hudson.
After being arraigned, Dwayne Hudson was turned over to Westchester County Department of Corrections because he was unable to make bail, which was set at $10,000.
Brandy Boone Hudson was released on her own recognizance.
They are scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court Oct. 13.
