2 Queens Residents Accused Of Stealing From CVS
Police said the pair put more than $1,000 worth of merchandise into a duffle bag and left the store without paying.
YORKTOWN, NY — Two Jamaica residents were arrested after being accused of stealing from a drug store in Yorktown.
The Yorktown Police Department said Cristian Fabian Penuela Alayon, 30, and Martiza Cuba-Salinas, 39, both of Jamaica, were charged Thursday with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony.
According to police, shortly after 7 p.m. Thursday, an officer was sent to the CVS on Commerce Street for a theft in progress.

An investigation found that the pair put more than $1,000 worth of merchandise into a duffle bag and left the store without paying.
They left in their vehicle before police got there, authorities said.

Alayon and Cuba-Salinas were later apprehended by the Carmel Police Department. They were turned over to the Yorktown Police Department for processing.
The pair was issued appearance tickets for the charges and released on their own recognizance.
They are due back in the Yorktown Justice Court May 14.
