45-Year-Old Woman Threw Chair At Victim During Domestic Fight: Police

She was released on her own recognizance, and ordered back to Yorktown Justice Court at a future date, according to police.

YORKTOWN, NY — A disagreement at a Westchester home turned violent, leading to the felony arrest of a Yorktown woman.

The Yorktown Police Department says that a 45-year-old was charged with felony second-degree assault.

On April 11, at 7:02 p.m., Yorktown police received a report of a domestic dispute at a Yorktown residence.

When officers arrived on the scene, the victim was no longer there, according to police.

After further investigation, police were able to arrange to speak to the victim at Yorktown Police Department headquarters.

Police allege that the woman picked up a chair and threw it at the victim, intentionally causing physical injury.

On April 12, she voluntarily surrendered herself to police, and was then placed under arrest, processed, and brought to the Yorktown Justice Court where she was arraigned before the judge, who issued a temporary Order of Protection on behalf of the victim.

The woman who was arrested was later released on her own recognizance, and is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on April 22.
