Another Heat Wave, Social Media Training for Businesses, Security Officers Needed

Here are five things you need to know today, July 16.

1. Social Media Training for Local Businesses

Are you a local business owner in Chappaqua, Mount Kisco, Yorktown, Somers, Bedford, Pleasantville or another Northern Westchester town?

2. Heat Wave - Again!

3. Yorktown Town Board Meeting

Yorktown town board members will meet tonight at 6 p.m. at Yorktown Town Hall. Click here for the agenda.

The meeting was originally scheduled to be held at Legacy Ball Field, but because the National Weather Service has issued a “heat advisory” for most of New York State including Northern Westchester through tomorrow evening, the location was changed.

4. Security Officers Needed

Heritage Hills in Somers is looking for security officers for full time and part time shifts. They're looking for NYS certified security officers as well as dispatchers and EMTs. Contact (914)276-2592 Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for more information. 

5. Bicycle Safety

Do you have a child who is learning or has recently mastered how to ride a bike? There is a Bicycle Safety Workshop on Thursday July 19 at 3 p.m. in the Children's Room at the Katonah Village Library. This workshop is provided by the Westchester County Traffic Safety Office. It should be good for beginners or as a refresher. This workshop is most appropriate for children ages 5-8 accompanied by an adult.
