'Dance 4 a Cause,' Croton Falls Road Bridge Full Closure; Dig into Nature

1) The Croton Falls Road Bridge will be closed to eastbound traffic starting on and the pedestrian bridge is removed on Aug. 18 which will result in a full closure of the bridge. 

2) From the Somers Library: "Get up close and personal with digging creatures found in the Earth's surface and their contribution to the success of others by creating homes, tilling the soil, even planting seeds! Animals you will meet include a tortoise, Hognose snake, giant toad, rabbit, hedgehog, and salamander. For ages 4 and up, Registration helpful. The event is held on Thursday, Aug. 22 at 4 p.m.

3) 'Dance 4 a Cause,' the annual event of dance and hope that is benefiting Adrenal Cancer Research, will be held on Friday, Aug. 23 at 7 p.m. at Yorktown Stage. 

4) The Senior Benefits Information Center at the John C. Hart Memorial Library in Shrub Oak will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 20 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

5) Yorktown Conservation Board meets on Wednesday, Aug. 21 at 7:30 p.m. at Yorktown Town Hall's board room.
