Dutchess Man Arrested After Not Showing Up In Yorktown Court: Police
Police said the underlying charges included criminal mischief, aggravated harassment and obstructing governmental administration.
YORKTOWN, NY — A Dutchess County man was accused of not showing up for two court appearances in Yorktown.
The Yorktown Police Department said Daniel J. O’Connor, 45, of Holmes, was arrested Wednesday and charged with two counts of third-degree bail jumping, misdemeanors, and two bench warrants with the underlying charges being fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree aggravated harassment, second-degree obstructing governmental administration and third-degree bail jumping.
Police said O’Connor failed to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court for two scheduled court appearances regarding the original charges, and the two bench warrants were issued Oct. 17.

Shortly before 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, he was taken into custody and placed under arrest.
After processing was completed, O’Connor was arraigned and bail was set in the amount of $10,000 cash, $25,000 bond and $50,000 partially secured bond.

He did not post bail and was sent to the Westchester County Department of Correction to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court Tuesday.
