FL!P Circus Returns With A New Show Under An Air-Conditioned Big Top

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, NY — The big top may look a little different, but the magic of the classic circus experience will still make a stop in the Hudson Valley, before spreading joy to far away lands.

FL!P Circus has built a big reputation since it debut in 2022, but that doesn't mean the troupe has grown too big for an intimate experience. The Vazquez family is bringing its brand-new 2024 production and its air-conditioned red and white big top tent to the Jefferson Valley Mall in Yorktown Heights from August 9 - 20.

The family said the all-new show was specially curated to showcase an eclectic mix of international human performers and tickets are on sale now.

When you see the giant red and white big top, you can almost taste the cotton candy and hear the drum roll as the spotlight pans to high flying daredevils. Such is the magic of the circus.

For the next few weeks, there's no need to travel through time and space to smell the popcorn and experience the thrill firsthand, but when the "circus train" moves on to the next town, the parking lot at the mall will once again just be a parking lot.

The art form of circus has been part of America’s entertainment landscape for over 200 years. Evoking this American tradition, just a few miles away from birthplace of the American circus, Fl!p Circus promises to combine the classic and the contemporary to bring families and friends together for a memorable experience.

The entertainers from around the globe say that there is something for everyone in this circus adventure that takes place under a distinctive, 800-seat, climate-controlled big top tent. No seat in that big top is more than 50 feet from the ring, according to the circus. Fair warning: you might even find yourself being brought into the fun in the ring.

The international flair of the show will be led by Brazil’s favorite clown, Bubi Guiner, bringing his antics to America for the first time.

From India, Hasan Ansari will audiences on the rarely seen Pole Mallakhamb, performing body- and mind-bending maneuvers on a wooden pole. Anastasia & Misha, from Ukraine, will present a synchronized and poetic fusion of dance and acrobatics. Pavel Valla Bertini, a fifth-generation performer from the Czech Republic, will keep audiences on the edge of their seats with his unicycle skills. Fourth-generation performer, Alexa Vazquez will offer a dazzling hula hoop display. The award-winning Bingo Troupe, from Ukraine, showcases their signature electrifying mix of dance and acrobatics.

Of course, no circus would be complete without juggling, and Fl!p Circus features a renowned troupe from Chile. The Reyes Brothers will demonstrate their incredible, fast-paced juggling skills.

All the while, the live Fl!p Circus Band will provide a soundtrack to the action.

Show times are 7 p.m. on weekdays, 1 p.m., 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturdays, and noon, 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Sundays. For tickets and additional information,visit the Flip Circus website.
