Jefferson Valley Man Arrested for Punching, Slapping Victim in Road Rage

A 57-year-old Jefferson Valley man is facing criminal charges following a road rage incident during which he allegedly punched and slapped another man, said.
Ronald Hippolyte was charged with third-degree attempted assault and third-degree menacing, both misdemeanors.
Police said on Aug. 1 they received a complaint about the assault, which had taken place on Route 6 in the vicinity of Orange County Pools. Investigation revealed the defendant allegedly punched and slapped a male victim several times and threatened to burn him.

Hippolyte voluntarily appeared at Yorktown Police headquarters the next day. He was placed under arrest and released without bail. He was scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Aug. 14.
