Lynn Shulman will be exhibiting a collection of paintings at the Somers Library during the month of August.
Shulman is a native of Alabama but has lived and worked most of her adult life in New York. She worked many years as a graphic artist while pursuing her love of painting.
She attended art classes at the New School in Manhattan along with the Art Student's League and the Brooklyn Museum of Art. Her memory of lush and complex natural settings inspired her artistic creations, partly imagined and partly gleaned from close observation.

Her exhibit includes watercolor paintings of landscapes, figures, still life subjects, and drawings in multi-media. Contact the library for viewing times in the Program Room.
A reception will be held on Saturday, Aug. 3 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
