Macy's Toys 'R' Us Shops Open In Hudson Valley

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Shopping for toys just got a little more convenient — and a little more nostalgic, if you fondly remember Geoffrey the Giraffe — when you are in a Macy’s in the Hudson Valley.

As of Saturday, Macy’s expanded partnership with the Toys “R” Us shops arrived in “every Macy’s store in America” — just in time for the holiday season.

Macy’s announced the partnership in July.

Around the Hudson Valley, the Macy’s locations are:

• Cross County Shopping Center, Yonkers
• Palisades Center, West Nyack
• Jefferson Valley Mall, Yorktown Heights
• Poughkeepsie Galleria, Poughkeepsie
• Galleria at Crystal Run, Middletown

The in-store shops will range in size from 1,000 square feet to 10,000 square feet. The footprints of some of the stores could get larger during the holiday season in order to offer a wider assortment of toys.

To celebrate, Macy’s and Toys “R” Us will present a nine-day extravaganza of events and activities for kids — all in honor of Geoffrey the Giraffe’s birthday.

The Macy’s Toys “R” Us in-store shops will also feature a life-size “Geoffrey on a Bench” photo opportunity for families.

And to make sure parents and family members can find the perfect toy, Macy’s and Toys “R” Us compiled this year’s “must-have” toys, including a Hot Wheels Monster Truck Tournament of Titans Raceway, Disney Junior Minnie Mouse Marvelous Mansion Playset and Lego Jurassic World T-rex and Atrociraptor Dinosaur Breakout.
