Man Charged with Felony DWI After Vehicle Accident in Yorktown

A 28-year-old Mount Kisco man is facing numerous charges in Yorktown for driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident, police said.

Police responded to a two-vehicle personal injury accident on Route 100, in the area of Seven Bridges Road on July 20.

When police arrived to the scene, they determined one of the drivers – Marvin E. Solis – had left the scene on foot, heading east on Seven Bridges Road. Yorktown police officer Iacona and officers from the Town of New Castle Police Department began checking the area and located Solis walking in a wooded area just off Seven Bridges Road.

Investigation revealed Solis was operating the vehicle while in an intoxicated condition. He has a prior misdemeanor conviction for alcohol related offenses within the last 10 years.

He was transported to the Northern Westchester Hospital Center by Mount Kisco Volunteer Ambulance for treatment of injuries sustained in the vehicle accident. The two occupants of the other vehicle were transported to Northern Westchester Hospital Center by Yorktown Volunteer Ambulance for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Solis was charged with driving while intoxicated, a felony; first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a felony because his driver's license had been revoked for an alcohol related offense. He was also charged for leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, a misdemeanor and criminal possession of a forged instrument, a felony.

In addition, police said Solis was in possession of a forged Republic of Guatemala passport.

Solis was remanded to the Westchester County Jail and was scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on July 23.
