Man Drives With Revoked License, No Interlock Device: Police
Police said the car was initially pulled over because of speeding.
YORKTOWN, NY — A Peekskill man was accused of driving with a revoked license and getting around an interlock device.
The Yorktown Police Department said Marcelo Cepeda, 40, of Peekskill, was charged with circumvention of an interlock device and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, misdemeanors, and speed not reasonable or prudent and unlicensed operation, traffic infractions.
Police said, shortly before 9 p.m. Friday, an officer on Route 6 in the area of Strawberry Road said he saw a car that was speeding.

The officer pulled the car over and identified Cepeda as the driver.
An investigation and a computer check found his privilege to drive in New York was revoked for a DWI charge, police said.

Police also found that Cepeda was driving a car that did not have a court-ordered interlock device.
He was arrested and processed at the scene.
Cepeda was issued uniform traffic tickets and released on his own recognizance.
He is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court Nov. 9.
