Police: Man Sends Threatening Texts, Mohegan Lake Teen Trespasses Private Pool

Mohegan Lake Teen Trespasses Private Pool
A 19-year-old Mohegan Lake teen is due in court next month to answer a criminal charge that he allegedly trespassed a private pool, Yorktown police said.
Police responded to Mogul Park pool on July 10 on a report of people in a fenced-in pool area. A member of the association told police the defendant, Ryan Jabush, was allegedly trespassing.

Jabusch voluntarily appeared at police headquarters on July 12 where he was arrested and later released.
He was charged with third-degree criminal trespass, a misdemeanor. The teen was scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 14.

Woman Steals $44 Worth of Items from Sears
A 43-year-old Montrose woman faces a criminal charge accusing her of stealing merchandise from , said.
Jean M. Giordano was charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor on July 14. Police said the woman allegedly removed merchandise, having a total value of $44, from a store display and exited the store without paying.
She was transported to police headquarters for processing and released without bail. The woman was scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 16.
Sending Harassing and Threatening Text Messages
A 34-year-old Bronx man Bronx was charged with second-degree aggravated harassment, a misdemeanor, for allegedly sending harassing and threatening text messages to a Yorktown resident.
Eduardo Simon was identified as the suspect. He surrendered himself at Yorktown police headquarters on July 18. The man was served with a temporary order of protection and was released to a family member.
Simon was scheduled to return to Yorktown Town Court on July 24.
Unwanted Harassing Phone Calls for More Than a Year
A 29-year-old New York City woman has been charged with second-degree aggravated harassment, a misdemeanor.
The defendant, Maria Placencia, allegedly made numerous unwanted harassing phone calls to a Straweberry Road resident between February 2011 and July 2012.
Placencia voluntarily surrendered herself to Yorktown police on July 13. She was placed under arrest and later released. The woman was scheduled to appear in court on July 24.
Unlicensed Driver Arrested
A 38-year-old Yorktown Heights man faces criminal charges that he allegedly operated a vehicle while his license had been suspended, police said.
The man was stopped on July 18 for having a broken brake light. He was subsequently charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor.
The defendant was released without bail and and scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.
Speeding Leads to Mahopac Man's Arrest
Yorktown police, who stopped a speeding vehicle on Route 6 on July 11, charged a 23-year-old Mahopac man with speeding and no front license plate, traffic infractions.
The defendant was detained at the scene and scheduled to appear in Yorktown court on Aug. 10. He was then turned over to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office because he had an outstanding arrest warrant out of Putnam County.
