Police: Men Solicit Services Without Permit, Unlicensed Drivers Arrested

Woman Shoves Victim After Car Accident
A 19-year-old Somers woman is accused of harassing another woman following a minor traffic accident in Yorktown, police said.
According to police the incident occurred on May 30 at about 6:20 p.m. in the parking lot of the A&S Pork Store on Hill Boulevard. Investigation revealed the defendant allegedly shoved the victim while they were in the parking lot.

Police issued criminal summons for the defendant who appeared at police headquarters on June 26. The woman was processed and released. She was scheduled to appear in court on July 10.
Woman Parks in Fire Zone, Gets Arrested

A police officer, who was on patrol in the Shrub Oak Shopping Center on June 24, noticed there was a number of vehicles parked in a fire zone. One of the vehicles belonged to a 39-year-old Shrub Oak woman, whose license plates were suspended for insurance lapse, police said.
The woman was charged with suspended registration, a misdemeanor, and the traffic infractions of having an uninsured vehicle, failure to notify DMV of a change of address and a town code fire zone parking violation.
The defendant was released on $100 cash bail and scheduled to appear in court on July 24.
Soliciting Without a Permit
Two Connecticut men face town code violations for allegedly soliciting Yorktown residents for home improvement services without a permit, Yorktown police said.
A Shelton resident, 20, and a Prospect resident, 23, were charged with peddling without a permit, a town code violation. Police investigated a complaint from a Somerston Road resident on June 22 of solicitors going door to door in the area. The defendants were found a short time later in the area. The two men were scheduled to appear in court on July 3.
Violating an Order of Protection
A 49-year-old Cortlandt Manor woman faces a misdemeanor charge for allegedly violating a temporary order of protection, police said.
Police said a Cortlandt Manor man appeared at Yorktown police headquarters on June 21 to report a domestic dispute. Allegedly, the defendant appeared at a business on Crompond Road where the man was present. Police said that visit was in violation of an order of protection.
The next day, the woman voluntarily appeared at police headquarters where she was arrested. She was served with a temporary order of protection and then released her on her own recognizance. She is scheduled to appear in court on July 12.
Unlicensed Driver Arrested
A 31-year-old Peekskill man is accused of operating a vehicle with a license that was suspended/revoked and driving the vehicle without a court ordered ignition interlock device.
His vehicle was stopped on June 20 on Route 6. He was charged with the following: Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the Second Degree (unclassified misdemeanor), Operating a motor vehicle without an court ordered ignition interlock device (Class A misdemeanor) and an expired registration (traffic infraction).
The man was released after he posted $100 bail. He was scheduled to appear in court on July 19.
Illegal U-Turn, Suspended License
A 33-year-old Croton-on-Hudson man was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor; as well as making an unsafe turn, a traffic violation.
His vehicle was stopped by police on June 26 in the area of Route 6 and Hill Boulevard. Police said the man allegedly made an illegal U-turn while traveling west on Route 6. A computer check at the scene revealed his driver's license was allegedly suspended.
The man was released on $100 bail and scheduled to appear in court on July 26.
