Mount Kisco Man Leaves Scene Of Accident: Police

Police also said he was driving with a suspended license.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Mount Kisco man was accused of leaving the scene of an accident and driving without a license.

The Yorktown Police Department said Mason Mejia, 26, of Mount Kisco, was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor and leaving the scene of a property damage auto accident, an infraction.

Police said, around 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, there was a report of a car accident in the Staples Plaza parking lot with one vehicle leaving the scene.

Mejia was identified as the driver, and a check of his license showed that his privilege to drive was suspended.

He was issued traffic tickets for the charges and released on his own recognizance.

Mejia is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court Aug. 24.
