NYC Woman Drove In Yorktown With Suspended License
Police initially stopped the woman's car for speeding.
YORKTOWN, NY — A New York City woman was accused of driving without a license in Yorktown.
The Yorktown Police Department said Stephanie M. Augusto, 30, of New York City, was arrested and charged Tuesday with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor, and speed in zone, a traffic violation.
Around 7:40 p.m. Tuesday, an officer conducting speed enforcement in the area of Route 6 and Sunnyside Street saw a vehicle moving at a high rate of speed and initiated a traffic stop.

Augusto was identified as the driver and it was determined that she was operating a motor vehicle while her privilege to do so was suspended in New York.
She was arrested and processed at the scene.

Augusto was issued traffic tickets for the charges and released on her own recognizance. She is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court May 2.
