Ossining Man Accused Of Driving With Suspended License

Police also said he didn't have insurance and the vehicle wasn't registered.

YORKTOWN, NY — An Ossining man was accused of driving with a suspended license after being in a traffic accident.

The Yorktown Police Department said Alexander Ocampo Cardenas, 53, of Ossining, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor, and operating without insurance, unlicensed operator and unregistered motor vehicle, traffic infractions.

Police said, shortly after 4 p.m. Monday, an officer responded to a motor vehicle accident on Route 100 in the area of Seven Bridges Road.

Cardenas was identified as one of the drivers.

A check of his license found he was driving while his privilege to do so was suspended, police said. He also didn't have insurance and the car was not registered.

Cardenas was arrested and processed on the charges, after which he was released on his own recognizance.

He is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court Jan. 6.
