Police Blotter: A Man Trashes his Parents' House
Burglaries, fraudulent use of a credit card, stolen inoperable motorcycle gets returned, custody exchange argument, unruly youths, trees and wires down in Shrub Oak.

June 4
7:12 a.m. Ridge Street residents reported a stolen Honda Motorcycle XL350R. When a neighbor returned from her walk she found the motorcycle in her bushes. Police say the motorcycle had been missing parts and wasn't operable from the beginning of the theft.
9:17 p.m. Police responded to reports of a disabled vehicle, which had no lights on and it was hard to see it in the dark. Upon investigation, everything was ok. The vehicle had parked legally and there were no violation.

11:01 p.m. Police received reports from Toys R Us, 621 Bank Rd. of young people throwing shopping carts into the street. The party was gone upon police arrival.
June 59:36 a.m. Police received reports from Ridge Street of possible wires down. Cablevision was dispatched to the scene. PO Robert Pavletich reported no electrical hazard.

10:17 a.m. A resident at Pinetree Place reported that a balding male in his 50s was going door to door. Police officers advised that the subjects were Jehovah witnesses and were exempt from violation of town code.
6:17 p.m. Police received reports of a possible intoxicated driver on Route 6, near Strawberry Road. The subject was driving a green Toyota and hit the guiderail a few times and seemed not to be aware of the impact.
9:33 p.m. A resident arrived at the Yorktown Police Department and reported that a subject had threatened him and chased him through the parking lot. Police say during the custody exchange of a young daughter which occurred in the police station parking lot, the ex husband and the mother's new boyfriend got into a confrontation. The boyfriend, grabbed the ex-husband's shirt. The Child Protective Services were notified because it all happened in front of a young child. All parties involved were interviewed and no arrests were made.
June 62:50- 3:43 p.m. Police responded to dozens of calls from residents about trees and wires down in Shrub Oak. The fallen tree on East Main Street was removed and police were called in to remove all cones. By June 9, things were taken care of.
7:48 p.m. A Giordano Drive resident reported fraudulent use of her credit cards. Investigation is pending. It was reported that $509.05 were charged on her Macys' store credit card.
11:03 p.m. Yorktown Police Department assisted Carmel Police Department and York State Police and arrested one robbery suspect in Buchanan. Four men had broken into a residence, armed with a shotgun, tied up a male resident, who was home with his 3-month-old daughter, and demanded money.
June 86:55 a.m. Police received reports from New Chalet Drive of a sickly raccoon near 1st storm drain on the left. PO Anthony Dipietranto responded to the scene, but he animal was gone upon arrival.
12:44 p.m. A Morningview Drive resident reported that his home was burglarized and jewelry and other personal items were missing. Under investigation.
2:57 p.m. A Loder Road resident reported that his home was burglarized sometime between 9 a.m. and 2:50 p.m. Jewelry and cash was missing. It is not known if there was a connection between the two burglaries.
9:11 p.m. Police received reports that a large group of youths in cars and pick up drag are racing in the lot near CVS in the Triangle Shopping Center on Saw Mill River Road. The subjects were gone upon arrival.
June 94:50 p.m. A Hutching Lane resident came to the Yorktown Police Department to report a violation of a temporary order of protection. No arrests have been made yet.
June 1010:48 a.m. Police received a report of a domestic dispute. A 48-year-old male was arrested and put in custody at the police department for trashing the furniture at his parents' house on Sultana Drive.
