Police: Cortlandt Manor Man Breaks Ex-Girlfriend's Phone, Faces Felony Charges in Yorktown

A 20-year-old Cortlandt Manor man, who is accused of breaking his ex-girlfriends' phone and her vehicle's window during a domestic dispute, faces several felony charges, Yorktown police said.
Jack R. Bakmezian is due in court on Thursday following the incident last week. He was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal mischief and fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony.
Police responded to the to investigate a possible domestic dispute in the parking lot on June 19.

The defendant allegedly grabbed an iPhone from the hand of his ex-girlfriend, threw it on the ground and damaged the phone, police said. In addition, Bakmezian allegedly also punched and broke the passenger side front window of her vehicle.
When police arrived to the scene, Bakmezian was gone and initial attempts to locate him were unsuccessful. On June 21 at about 4 p.m. the man responded to the where he was placed under arrest.

Bakmezian was remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in on Thursday, June 28.
