Police: 'Emotionally Disturbed Woman' Damages Patrol Car

The following information was provided by the Yorktown Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A 29-year-old Yorktown woman is due in court tonight to answer a felony charge that she allegedly kicked and damaged a police vehicle, said. 

Police were summoned to Anne P. Sinnott's home on Strang Boulevard to investigate a domestic incident involving an emotionally disturbed woman who had threatened to harm herself. 

Before transporting Sinnott to the hospital for evaluation, police said the woman became "agitated and unruly." While she was in the rear of a police patrol vehicle, the woman allegedly kicked the rear door causing damage to the door and window valued at more than $251, police said.

The defendant was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, a felony.

Sinnott was remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail. She was scheduled to appear in  on Aug. 2.
