Police: Man Charged with DWI, Had Vehicle Stopped in Middle of Road in Somers

Police investigating a vehicle stopped in the middle of the road in Somers led to the arrest of a 23-year-old Yonkers man, who is now facing a drunken driving charge, state police said.

Wilfred Martinez was allegedly stopped in the middle of the road - diagonally - across the northbound and southbound lanes of State Route 100 in the town of Somers on July 17 at about 2:20 a.m.

He was subsequently charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. Police said his blood alcohol level was .19 percent. Martinez was scheduled to appear at the Somers Town Court on July 23.
