Police: Man Charged with Stealing from Macy's, Man Fires BB Gun in Public Place

Man Allegedly Steals from Macy's
A 54-year-old Peekskill man has been charged with petty larceny after he allegedly stole more than $500 worth of merchandise from Tuesday night, said.
Ernest G. Sampson was arrested at 7:47 p.m. when police located him on a Westchester County Bee-line bus on Lee Road. Police said the man allegedly stole merchandise, having a total value of $543.91, from the store display and exited the store without paying.

He was taken into custody and processed at Yorktown police headquarters.
Sampson was remanded to the Westchester County Jail without bail. The defendant was scheduled to appear in court on July 12.

Firing Air Gun in Public Place
A 20-year-old Chappaqua man faces a Yorktown town code violation for possessing an air gun in a public place, said.
Police responded to Commerce Street on June 20 at about 12:20 a.m. on a report of someone shooting at carnival rides with an air gun. Police found the defendant who had allegedly fired a BB gun. Although no damage was found, a criminal summons was requested from the court for the man allegedly possessing an air gun in a public place, which is a violation of the Yorktown town code.
The defendant voluntarily appeared at Yorktown police headquarters to receive the summons. He was released and scheduled to appear in Yorktown Court on July 26.
Violation of an Order of Protection
A 53-year-old Stamford, CT, man faces criminal charges for allegedly violating an order of protection, said.
Antonio S. Vida allegedly communicated with another person by phone on July 2, which was a violation of a duly served Yorktown Justice Court order of protection. On July 12, the defendant voluntarily surrendered to police and was placed under arrest.
Vida was released after posting $200 bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on July 16.
Man Arrested for Verbal Harassment
A 31-year-old Mohegan Lake man faces a harassment charge after he allegedly verbally harassed two females in the Mohegan Lake area on June 26.
Sejdi Brahimi was charged with second-degree harassment, a misdemeanor. He is due in court on July 24.
