Police: Woman Accused of Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs

A 56-year-old Rye woman is accused of driving her vehicle while her ability was impaired by drugs, said.
Beverly Rowe was arrested on June 16 at about 11:39 p.m. after police received a call from a tow truck operator reporting an "argumentative customer" on Mill Street.
Police said their investigation revealed the woman was allegedly operating her vehicle while her ability was impaired by drugs. In addition, she allegedly failed to notify the state Department of Motor Vehicles that she had changed her address within 10 days of moving.

Rowe was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor; and the traffic infraction of failure to change address on driver's license. Police did not identify what drugs the woman had allegedly used.
Rowe was transported to Yorktown Police headquarters for processing. She was later released on her own recognizance to a family member. The defendant was scheduled to appear in on July 17.
