Police: Woman Accused of Shoplifting Clothing From Sears

A 42-year-old Ossining woman is accused of shoplifting clothing from Sears, said.
Maria Schotte was arrested on June 20 at around 7 p.m. after police responded to the Jefferson Valley mall. Sears security reported to police that an allegedly shoplifter was in custody.
The woman was charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor. Police said she allegedly exited Sears without attempting to pay for assorted clothing, with a total value of $167.99.

Schotte was processed at police headquarters and scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on July 19.
