Police: Woman Arrested for Stealing Two TVs from BJ's

The following information was provided by the Yorktown Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A 32-year-old Carmel woman faces a felony charge accusing her of stealing two television sets from last month, police said. 

Madina Sherulova was charged with third-degree grand larceny, a felony.

Police began their investigation on July 13 after they received a complaint that a woman had allegedly stolen two TVs, having a total value of $1,712.12. Police said one of the TVs was removed from the store without being paid for and a fraudulent return was completed on the second TV.

Sherulova voluntarily appeared at Yorktown police headquarters Tuesday night when she was arrested. The woman was released on $2,000 cash bail and scheduled to appear in on Sept. 11. 

Police officer Dillon and detective Perrotto investigated the incident.
