Police: Yorktown Man Charged with Driving While Intoxicated

A 42-year-old Yorktown man is due in court later this month to answer drunk driving charges, said.
Stephen Fawcett was stopped on June 29 at about 2:30 a.m. after police observed his vehicle cross over the double yellow lines on Route 6. Investigation revealed the defendant was allegedly driving while intoxicated.
Fawcett was given a breath test and he allegedly tested at .18 percent blood alcohol level or more, police said.

The man was charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated, misdemeanors; as well as failure to use designated lane, a traffic infraction.
Fawcett was processed and released on his own recognizance to a third party. He is to appear in on July 26.
