Police: Yorktown Man Steals Soda from Gas Station Twice

The following information was provided by the Yorktown Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A 21-year-old Yorktown man faces criminal charges that he allegedly stole about $10 worth of soda bottles from a gas station in Yorktown, police said.

Brendan Young was charged with two counts of petty larceny, a misdemeanor. Police said the man stole four bottles of Pepsi soda, valued at $7.16, from the Chestnut Mobil, located on Saw Mill River Road on July 23.

Several days later, the man returned to the same gas station and stole two bottles of Coca Cola Vanilla, valued at $3.58. Based on a description provided by store employees, police located the suspect who was walking on Route 202.

Young was processed at police headquarters, released and scheduled to appear in  on Aug. 28.
