Police: Yorktown Woman Cited for Suspended License

She's stopped for a defective brake light.

A 22-year-old Yorktown resident was cited for driving with a suspended driver's license after she was stopped for having a defective brake light, according to Yorktown Police.

The Locust Road resident was stopped at 2:45 p.m. on Dec. 14 on Gomer Street when a town officer noticed the problem with the 2000 Audi she was driving. Police said a computer check found that the woman's license had been suspended.

The woman was cited for the equipment violation and also aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and driving with a suspended license. She was released pending a Jan. 24, 2013 hearing in Yorktown Town Court.
