Putnam Valley Man Accused Of Drunken Driving In Yorktown
Police said they spotted the man as he was driving erratically.
YORKTOWN, NY — A Putnam Valley man was accused of drunken driving after being stopped for erratic driving.
The Yorktown Police Department said around 1:50 p.m Wednesday officers responded to Route 6 and Mountain Brook Road for a report of a gray pickup truck being driven erratically.
The officer saw a truck matching the description near Barger Street that was not staying in the proper lane.

A traffic stop was initiated and Nikoll Z. Mrijaj, 38, of Putnam Valley, who was the driver, was found to be intoxicated.
He was arrested and taken to the Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing.

On arrival at headquarters, police said Mrijaj was driving his truck with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or more.
He was charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated BAC 0.08 percent or more, misdemeanors, and fail to use designated lane, a traffic infraction.
Mrijaj was released on his own recognizance to a responsible third party and is due back in the Yorktown Justice Court Nov. 30.
