5. Yorktown Sends Note on Solicitors

After two men were arrested in Yorktown for soliciting home improvement services without a permit, the town has issued the following notice to residents:

"All solicitors must have a valid license issued by the Town of Yorktown to go door to door and operate in town. If a solicitor knocks on your door, ask to see their license issued by the Town. If the solicitor can not show you a license that looks like the image below, which includes a photo of the person at your door, they are not licensed to solicit in the Town of Yorktown and the town recommends you not let them in your house. Please report unlicensed solicitors to the at (914) 962-4141."
