Silent Auction to End Alzheimer’s; International Assistance Dog Week

1) A silent auction of paintings by Seabury Resident Deacon John Weir at Fieldhome will run through Aug. 12. Money raised by the auction will be used to support Team Seabury in their the Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Sept. 29 in White Plains. The paintings will be awarded to the highest bidders on Aug. 12. 2) In honor of International Assistance Dog Week, Yorktown's Guiding Eyes for the Blind is inviting Westchester residents to get involved in the non-profit’s mission to transform lives through a number of special opportunities for volunteerism and philanthropy. Held August 4-10, International Assistance Dog Week was created to recognize the devoted, hardworking service dogs that help individuals achieve their goals in life. Read more here.
