Trader Joe's In Yorktown Sets Official Opening
This will be the 33rd store in New York and the first in northern Westchester County.

YORKTOWN, NY — Well, it's official. The new Yorktown Trader Joe's will open its door this month.
The new store, located at 3240 Crompond Rd. in the shopping center where Lowe's Home Improvement is, will open for business Thursday.
There will be a brief ceremonial ribbon cutting at 8 a.m. after which customer may go shopping.

Store Captain Charlie Ranken and Trader Joe's crew members will also be on hand to welcome people to the latest store to open in Westchester.

According to a spokesperson for Trader Joe's, this will be the 33rd store in New York and the first in northern Westchester County.
The store was built just off the Taconic State Parkway near FDR State Park.
Its interior will feature murals of the local farming community and orchards.
Store officials are still in the hiring process and the chain prides itself on hiring employees from the surrounding area.

Additionally, through the company's longstanding Neighborhood Shares Program, the new Yorktown Trader Joe's will donate 100 percent of products that go unsold but remain usable to a range of nonprofit, community-based organizations seven days a week.
The Yorktown location's operating hours will be 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
