Traffic Alert: Lanes Of Taconic Will Be Closed This Week
Breaking: The roadway work is scheduled to take place all this week and part of next week, in Yorktown.

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — A stretch of the Taconic will be a little trickier to navigate for this work week and part of next week, according to the NYSDOT.
The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) said single and double lane closures are expected along the Taconic State Parkway southbound between Exit 16 (Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park) and the Putnam County line in the Town of Yorktown for roadway work.

- Monday, Oct. 3 - Friday, Oct. 7, 7 a.m. - 3 p.m.: Northbound double lane closures
- Monday, Oct. 3 - Friday, Oct. 7, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.: Southbound double lane closures
- Monday, Oct. 10 - Wednesday, Oct. 12, 7 a.m. - 3 p.m.: Northbound single lane closures
- Monday, Oct. 10 - Wednesday, Oct. 12, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.: Southbound single lane closures
The NYSDOT is reminding drivers to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in a driver's license suspension.
