Two Yorktown Girls, 15 and 17, Accused of Stealing Items from Sears

Two Yorktown females are accused of stealing $349.95 worth of merchandise from , said.
The two teens, ages 15 and 17, were caught by security personnel on June 13, after they allegedly attempted to exit the store without paying for the items.
The 15-year-old girl was charged with juvenile delinquency, the underlying charge being petty parceny if she was over 17 years old and charged as an adult. The other defendant, the 17-year-old girl, was charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor. Police did not release their names.

Both teens were processed at police headquarters and were released to their parents.
The 15-year-old girl is scheduled to appear in the Westchester Department of Probation on June 21. The 17-year-old girl was scheduled to appear in on July 12.
