Uncle Giuseppe's Moves To Larger Location In Yorktown
Town officials said the store will likely open after Trader Joe's targeted opening of July 21.

YORKTOWN, NY — A new, larger Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace will in open in Yorktown in August.
According to Yorktown officials, renovation work is almost finished at 329 Downing Dr., a 45,000-square-foot supermarket that sat empty for more than 10 years until the specialty grocer began work in January.
The new location at the Yorktown Green shopping center will be the long Island-based company's largest store in New York.

Uncle Giuseppe's opening is expected to follow the opening of the new Trader Joe's, whose target opening date is July 21, according to information from the town.
After a recent tour of the new Uncle Giuseppe's store, Supervisor Matt Slater said he was impressed with the amenities and quality of the food service the grocery will provide.

"I'm certain that this store will become a regional destination once word spreads about its fantastic range of products and services, including a fresh pasta station," he said.
Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace was founded in 1998 in East Meadow. The current Yorktown store has outgrown its nearby 380 Downing Dr. location in the Turco's Shopping Center. A new use for the soon-to-be vacated space has not been announced.
