Victim Shoved To Ground, Motorcycle Helmet Damaged In Attack: Police

YORKTOWN, NY — Violence in Westchester led to property damage, an injury, and a felony charge, according to police.

The Yorktown Police Department says that a 20-year-old Yorktown man was arrested and charged with felony third-degree criminal mischief, and a second-degree harassment violation.

On June 20, at Yorktown Police Department headquarters, officers received a report of a past domestic incident in the town.

After an investigation, police allege that on May 11, Hunter D. Morgan damaged the victim's motorcycle helmet, valued at $300, and pushed the victim to the ground causing their face to hit a stick and cut their left cheek.

On June 21, Morgan voluntarily came to Yorktown Police Headquarters and surrendered himself. He was arrested and arraigned, with the judge issuing a temporary order of protection before the suspect was released on his own recognizance.

Morgan is scheduled to return to the Yorktown Justice Court on July 17.
