Volunteer Opportunities Of The Week: Turkey Trot
Every week, Patch will spotlight volunteer opportunities in the Hudson Valley.
HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Each week, Patch will be highlighting volunteer opportunities in the Hudson Valley. This will be a chance to help your community and be an opportunity to give back — perhaps in a way you didn't consider before.

Westchester Turkey Trot
Get your gobble on! Volunteers are needed to help with the 2023 Westchester Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day to benefit Hillside Food Outreach. Volunteers can assist with a variety of roles, including checking in participants, directing runners along the race route and handing out food to runners after the race. Volunteers must be 18+.
Date: Nov. 23 from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.; registration closes 48 hours prior to project start time

Annual Drive Mailing Volunteers
The STEM Alliance is recruiting volunteers to help stuff, seal and stamp envelopes that it is sending out to its supporters for its Annual Drive mailing. Volunteers must be at least 13 to sign up alone, yet those ages 10 to 12 may be added to their parents' or guardians' family, group or team. Volunteer service credit can be provided if needed. Sign up for one or more shifts below; volunteers will receive tasty snacks and heartfelt appreciation!
Date: Nov. 26 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.; filling up fast!

Insurance Professional Volunteer
This volunteer will work alongside the food pantry's insurance broker to make sure that its insurance policies are adequate for its needs. This professional should have insurance experience (ideally for nonprofits) and will also assist with requesting certificates of insurance as needed. This is a great opportunity for professionals 18+ who want to give back to their community.
