What's Open, What's Not on July 4 in Yorktown and Somers
Important information on holiday closings.

While offices are closed and the barbecues are fired up today, you still may need to get out and around Yorktown and Somers.
Here's what you need to know about what's open and closed:
CLOSED

- All U.S. post offices. No mail will be delivered or collected.
- Yorktown and Somers town offices
- and Somers Library
- Most banks will be closed. Wednesday is a U.S. bank holiday.
- Westchester County offices are closed; including county courts and the county Health Department
- Federal and state offices are closed.
OPEN
- Most stores, restaurants and bars will be open on July 4
- The Jefferson Valley Mall will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the Fourth; check the mall's website for specific store hours.
- Both the Junior Lake Pool at Memorial Park and the Brian J. Slavin Aquatic Facility at Shrub Oak Park will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. – a great way to cool off from the scorching temperatures predicted.
