What's Open, Closed on July 4 in Yorktown and Somers

While offices are closed and the barbecues are fired up for July 4, you still may need to get out and around Yorktown and Somers. Here is what is open and closed: 

CLOSED

• All U.S. post offices. No mail will be delivered or collected.
• Yorktown and Somers town offices
• John C. Hart Memorial Library and Somers Public Library
• Most banks will be closed. 
• Westchester County offices are closed; including county courts and the county Health Department
• Federal and state offices are closed.

OPEN

• Most stores, restaurants and bars will be open on July 4
• The Jefferson Valley Mall will be open; check the mall's website for specific store hours.
• Both the Junior Lake Pool at Memorial Park and the Brian J. Slavin Aquatic Facility at Shrub Oak Park will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
