Yorktown Opens Cooling Center
It will remain open until 10 p.m. tonight. No pets will be allowed.
With the thermometer already well above 90 degrees, Yorktown has opened a cooling center at the will remain open until 10 p.m. tonight.
The cooling center is a place where residents can stay if their home is uncomfortable because of the unreasonable high temperatures and high humidity. Residents can bring non-perishable items and any necessary medications. No pets will be allowed at the cooling center.
