Yorktown Police Arrest Suspects for Fleeing Police Authority

Man and Woman, in Possession of Marijuana, Flee Police
A 20-year-old Buchanan man and a 20-year-old Patterson woman are facing a number of charges following a police chase in Yorktown, said.
On Aug. 3 police attempted to stop a speeding vehicle on Route 6, but that vehicle allegedly fled the scene by traveling onto Strawberry Road and Briar Hill Street in "an erratic manner and at a high rate of speed," police said.

When the vehicle was stopped, Arthur M. Niebryzdowski, of Buchanan, was identified as the driver, and Hanna L. Dillman, of Patterson, was identified as the passenger. Police said the man and woman were allegedly in possession of marijuana.
Niebryzdowski was charged with third-degree unlawfully fleeing a police officer, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, misdemeanors, as well as unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. He was also charged with the following traffic violations: passing stop sign, crossing double yellow pavement markings, and two counts of speeding.

Dillman was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.
Both Niebryzdowski and Dillman were arrested at the scene and transported to police headquarters. Niebryzdowski was released on $200 bail; Dillman was released on her own recognizance.
Both defendants were scheduled to appear in court on Sept. answer said charges in Yorktown Court on Sept. 4.
Man Arrested for Fleeing Police
A 22-year-old Mahopac man faces a number of charges after he allegedly fled a police officer who was attempting to stop him, police said.
Police, patrolling Route 6, attempted to stop Pajtim Hoti on Aug. 6 for alleged traffic infractions. Instead, the vehicle fled southbound on the Taconic State Parkway at a speed of more than 25 mph over the speed limit (55mph), police said.
Hoti's vehicle was stopped a short time later near Baldwin Road. A DMV check revealed the man allegedly had multiple suspensions on his drivers’ license and the vehicle was allegedly unregistered and displaying another vehicle’s license plates, police said.
Hoti was charged with unlawfully fleeing a police officer, second-degree unlicensed operation, misdemeanors as well as numerous traffic violations.
The defendant was released on $500 cash bail and scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 6.
