Yorktown to Replace Two Highway Trucks, Upgrade Computer Hardware
Yorktown town board members have awarded two separate bids totaling more than $400,000.

The town of Yorktown will soon be getting two new highway department trucks after town board members awarded a bid last week for a total of $361,200 to Gabrielli Truck Sales.
The new trucks would replace two existing 1992 plowing and sanding trucks, Yorktown supervisor Michael Grace said. He expects the new trucks to last between 20 and 25 years. Because of the mild winter, the money for the purchase will come from the existing snow line in the highway department's budget.
"We're doing it very, very slowly because we're doing a capital audit of what's there ad what needs to be replaced," Grace said of any future plans to replace other town vehicles.
