UNCP awards first doctoral degrees (robesonian.com) — A longtime Fayetteville healthcare leader, Jennifer Bigger, is among the first eight nurses to earn a Doctor of Nursing Practice from UNC Pembroke, marking a major milestone for the region. The new program focuses on population health and rural, tribal, and underserved communities, with graduates already implementing projects that improve mental health care, chronic disease management, and patient safety across southeastern North Carolina.
