Iredell Woman Charged With Statutory Rape, Indecent Liberties
Katherine Rose Stewart, 27, was charged with statutory rape of a child and indecent liberties with a child, according to ICSO.

IREDELL COUNTY, NC — A Statesville woman has been charged with statutory rape of a child and indecent liberties with a child, according to the Iredell County Sheriff's Office.
Katherine Rose Stewart, 27, of Statesville was arrested on the felony charges Nov. 13.
According to Sheriff Darren Campbell, an investigation began after ICSO received a report Nov. 8 that a juvenile had been sexually assaulted last year between Aug. 31 and Sept. 30, 2019.

"The juvenile victim was interviewed at the Dove House Children’s Advocacy Center where the
victim described the incidents and gave other important information," an ICSO report said. Two felony arrest warrants were obtained based upon evidence obtained.
Stewart was issued a $75,000 secured bond, ICSO said.
