'Maleficent' Drive-In Movie Event Planned In Stateville: Details

IREDELL COUNTY, NC — Movie lovers will soon have an opportunity to see "Maleficent" on a big screen, and under the stars. Iredell County Parks and Recreation is hosting a drive-in movie event featuring the 2014 movie starring Angelina Jolie on Friday, Oct 23.

The event will take place at the Iredell County Recreation Center, at 122 Grannis Lane in Statesville.

How To Get A Ticket
The event requires the purchase of a $10 ticket per vehicle, which also includes four individual bags of popcorn. Tickets must be purchased ahead of the event and are limited to 48 vehicles.

Here's what organizers say about the event:

• Parking for the movie will begin at 6:30 p.m. — all parking areas will be blocked off prior, and there will be no early arrivals allowed.
• The movie will begin at dusk (approximately 7:15 p.m.).
• No passenger vans or buses will be allowed.
• Sound will be transmitted via an FM radio station and throughout the field.
