The Polar Express: Drive-In Movie Planned In Statesville
The drive-in movie event will be held Dec. 18 in the parking lot of the Iredell County Recreation Center in Statesville.
IREDELL COUNTY, NC — Fans of the holiday favorite, "The Polar Express" will soon have an opportunity to enjoy it while staying socially distanced. Iredell County Parks and Recreation is hosting a drive-in movie night featuring the holiday movie on Friday, Dec. 18.
Tickets for the event, which will be held at the Iredell County Recreation Center, are $10 and must be purchased online.

- Each $10 ticket includes four individual bags of popcorn. Additional bags of popcorn and drinks (soda, bottled water and hot chocolate) will be available for purchase as an add-on during registration, or available during event check-in.
- Parking for the movie will begin at 6 p.m. All parking will be blocked off prior, there will be no early arrivals allowed.
- Movie pre-show will begin at approximately 6:45 p.m. There will no parking after the pre-show has begun.
- Please remain inside your vehicle, within your designated parking area. Seating is not allowed outside of your vehicle (inside a vehicle and/or truck bed is fine). Sound will be via FM transmitter inside your vehicle.
- SUVs, trucks, and other large vehicles will not be allowed to park in the front rows. Vehicles will be parked by size and order of arrival. No passenger vans or buses allowed.
- Limited restrooms on-site. Be prepared to wear a mask, if you need to access the restroom.
- This event is rain or shine – in the event of severe weather/strong wind/lightning the movie will be canceled.
Iredell County Recreation Center is located at 122 Grannis Lane in Statesville.
